Working from my client’s notes, I illustrated sub-theme parks to represent teaching points in his courses. This is some of the most visually intense work I’ve ever produced, with hundreds more layers than my usual projects.
The project went through several stages of development. The bulk of the work was developing the look and feel of the sub-theme parks. They not only needed to represent distinct historical periods, but also exhibit characteristics from retrofuturism. I’m really happy with the chevron rockform. But the Syd Mead inspired Ferris Wheel really helped shape the remainder of the project.
